Jindal Stainless Limited has informed the stock exchanges about the completion of its committed investment in a special purpose vehicle (SPV) established for renewable energy. On April 3, 2026, the company acquired an additional equity stake in Oyster Green Hybrid One Private Limited to power its manufacturing facilities. This final tranche marks the conclusion of a strategic investment plan originally initiated in June 2025.

The acquisition involved a cash consideration of 23.41 Crore for an additional 4.60% equity stake in the SPV. With this transaction, Jindal Stainless has fulfilled its total committed investment of 132 Crore in the project. The SPV, Oyster Green Hybrid One Private Limited, is a related party through a common promoter group, and the transaction was conducted on an arm’s length basis.

Oyster Green was incorporated on August 25, 2023, specifically to develop a 282 MW inter-state wind-solar hybrid captive renewable energy project. The project is designed to produce approximately 700 million units of clean energy annually for Jindal Stainless. This initiative aligns with the company’s broader sustainability goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by the year 2050. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to help the company abate nearly 6.5 lakh metric tonnes of carbon emissions every year.
