Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has officially announced a fresh capital infusion of Rs. 10 Crores into its wholly owned subsidiary, Shakti EV Mobility Private Limited. This investment was executed by subscribing to 1,00,00,000 equity shares at a face value of Rs. 10 each. Following this transaction, the company’s total consolidated investment in the EV arm stands at Rs. 65 Crores. This move is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand its manufacturing capabilities in the high-growth electric vehicle component sector.
The latest investment is intended to support the subsidiary’s operations in manufacturing electric vehicle motors and charging controllers. Shakti EV Mobility, which was incorporated in December 2021, focuses on providing motor solutions for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers, as well as specialized EV applications. The subsidiary reported an asset size of approximately Rs. 101.22 Crores as of March 31, 2025. This funding reflects Shakti Pumps’ commitment to diversifying its revenue streams away from traditional water pumping solutions and into the emerging green mobility landscape.
Shakti Pumps (India) Limited is a leading manufacturer of energy-efficient submersible pumps and solar pumping solutions in India. Throughout 2025 and early 2026, the company secured several significant work orders, including a major contract from the Karnataka government worth Rs. 6,540 Million and various projects under the PM-KUSUM scheme in states like Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, the company has expanded its solar rooftop presence through MoUs with over 90 dealers and continues to experience robust demand in its export markets, which include regions like Africa and the Middle East.
The company’s financial performance for the quarter ended December 31, 2025 (Q3 FY2026), showed a consolidated revenue of Rs. 558.69 Crores, marking a decline from Rs. 671.89 Crores in the preceding quarter. Profit After Tax (PAT) for the same period stood at Rs. 31.70 Crores. In terms of its shareholding profile as of late 2025, the company maintains a strong institutional base, with notable investors including LIC Mutual Fund, PineBridge Global Funds, and the Government Pension Fund Global. These institutions hold significant stakes, reflecting confidence in the company’s long-term growth trajectory in both the water and EV segments.
