Chalet Hotels Limited has announced a significant expansion of its hospitality portfolio through the acquisition of Seasons Hotels Private Limited. The Board of Directors, in a meeting held on April 24, 2026, approved the purchase of the entity which owns the Inder Residency Resort & Spa in Udaipur, Rajasthan. This move marks the company’s first foray into the high-growth Rajasthan tourism circuit.

This acquisition involves a total consideration of Rs. 1,710 million for 100% of the equity shares, to be paid in cash. The target property is a 144-room resort spread across approximately 8.2 acres. Chalet Hotels intends to upgrade the property into an upper-upscale or premium lifestyle destination, during which time the resort will remain non-operative. The transaction is expected to be completed by May 15, 2026, and aligns with the company’s broader strategy to diversify into leisure geographies beyond its traditional business hotel core.

Part of the K Raheja Corp, Chalet Hotels Limited is a leading owner and operator of high-end hotels in India, partnering with global brands like JW Marriott, Westin, and Novotel. The company currently manages 11 operating properties with over 3,300 keys and is actively developing another 1,510 rooms. Beyond hospitality, Chalet is expanding its commercial real estate footprint to 3.3 million square feet. Notably, the firm was recently ranked 2nd globally in its category by the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment with a score of 82.

In the third quarter of the 2025 fiscal year (ended December 31, 2024), Chalet Hotels reported a strong financial performance, reflecting the robust demand in the Indian travel sector. The company recorded consolidated revenue of Rs. 16,824.3 million (₹1,682.43 Crores) and a profit of Rs. 296.1 million (₹29.61 Crores). These results were driven by improved occupancy rates and higher Average Daily Rates (ADR) across its key metropolitan properties. The company continues to attract significant interest from institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals who track the premium consumption theme in India.
