Bharat Forge Limited has officially announced the acquisition of a strategic stake in Fortuna Engineering Private Limited (FEPL). The company has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement to initially acquire a 30% stake for a total consideration of Rs. 129.60 Crores. This move includes a provision for Bharat Forge to potentially increase its holding to a majority stake of 50% + 1 share in the future, subject to the fulfillment of specific conditions and regulatory approvals.
The acquisition is being executed in tranches and is structured as a cash consideration. Fortuna Engineering, based in Nashik, specializes in the machining of critical automotive components such as connecting rods and camshafts for both passenger and commercial vehicles. Bharat Forge intends to leverage this acquisition to enhance its vertical integration and machining capacity, aiming to bolster its value-added offerings in both domestic and international markets.
Bharat Forge is a global technology-driven manufacturing powerhouse with a significant presence across sectors including automotive, railways, aerospace, marine, and energy. Throughout 2025, the company has remained focused on expanding its industrial footprint and securing high-value orders in the defense and aerospace segments. FEPL, the target entity, reported a turnover of Rs. 322.50 Crores for the 2024-25 fiscal year and maintains a strong localized manufacturing presence in India. Recent updates indicate that Bharat Forge continues to prioritize forward integration to move up the value chain.
Regarding financial performance, Bharat Forge reported robust figures in its last quarterly results for the 2025-26 fiscal cycle. The company has demonstrated steady revenue and profit growth, supported by a strong recovery in the export of industrial components and automotive forgings.
