Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has announced the receipt of a Letter of Empanelment for 6,580 off-grid solar water pumping systems from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited. This project, valued at approximately Rs. 155.24 Crores (inclusive of GST), is part of the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana initiative and is scheduled for execution within 60 days of the work order.

The contract involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, and commissioning of solar pumps with capacities ranging from 3 HP to 7.5 HP across the state of Maharashtra. The base value of the order stands at Rs. 142.55 Crores, aiming to enhance solar-powered irrigation for farmers. This move reinforces the company’s commitment to renewable energy goals and supports its growing domestic portfolio.

Shakti Pumps is a leading Indian manufacturer specializing in solar-powered pumping solutions and has recently diversified into electric motors and controllers for the EV segment. In 2025, the company expanded its presence by securing major orders from various states, including a large LoI for 12,537 pumps in Uttar Pradesh and several contracts in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. The company continues to maintain a strong market share in the solar pump industry, driven by government initiatives like PM-KUSUM.

For the fiscal year 2025, Shakti Pumps achieved a milestone revenue of Rs. 2,516.24 Crores, marking an 83.6% Year-on-Year (YoY) growth. The consolidated net profit (PAT) for FY25 surged by 188.2% to Rs. 408.4 Crores. Notable institutional investors and holders include the Government Pension Fund Global, PineBridge India Equity Fund, and LIC Mutual Fund, which holds stakes through various schemes such as the LIC MF Infrastructure Fund.
