Rainbow Children’s Medicare Limited has officially informed the stock exchanges regarding the commencement of two new healthcare facilities in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The expansion includes a new 60-bed spoke hospital located in HRBR Layout, Hennur Junction, and a specialized IVF centre under the “BirthRight Fertility” brand in Mahadevapura. These facilities are operational as of May 4, 2026, and represent a total project investment of approximately 52 Crores, funded through internal accruals.

Following this expansion, Rainbow Children’s Medicare now operates a robust network of approximately 2,435 beds across India. The new HRBR hospital is strategically positioned to serve the high-growth residential and IT corridors of North Bengaluru, providing comprehensive pediatric, obstetric, and intensive care services. Meanwhile, the Mahadevapura IVF centre spans 10,000 sq. ft. and is designed to address the rising demand for advanced reproductive treatments in the region’s urban demographic. This move strengthens the company’s hub-and-spoke model, utilizing the Marathahalli hub to anchor these new extensions.

Rainbow Children’s Medicare is India’s leading multi-specialty pediatric and perinatal care hospital chain, currently operating 24 hospitals and 6 clinics across 9 cities. In 2025, the company continued its aggressive growth strategy by focusing on high-growth urban micro-markets and enhancing its “BirthRight by Rainbow” platform. The company is well-known for its unique full-time doctor engagement model and for hosting one of the largest pediatric DNB training programs in India’s private healthcare sector. Recent updates indicate a disciplined approach to long-term value creation through clinical standardization and specialized care.

For the nine-month period ending December 31, 2025 (9M FY2025-26), the company reported an existing bed capacity utilization (occupancy) of approximately 46.6%. While the specific revenue and profit figures for the most recent quarter are typically released during formal quarterly earnings calls, the company’s expansion into HRBR and Mahadevapura is expected to contribute to the growth of its Bengaluru operations, which currently comprises around 600 beds. Notable institutional interest in the healthcare sector often follows such capacity expansions; however, specific “famous investor” updates for the year 2025 should be verified through the latest shareholding patterns on the NSE/BSE.
