In a recent regulatory filing, Chemplast Sanmar Limited officially informed the stock exchanges that the commercial production of R32 Refrigerant Gas has successfully commenced at its Swing Plant located in Mettur. This milestone, which occurred on May 18, 2026, at 3:59 PM (IST), was reported in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The commencement of R32 production marks a strategic operational expansion for Chemplast Sanmar within its specialty chemicals and refrigerant gas portfolio. R32 is increasingly utilized in modern HVAC systems and energy-efficient cooling applications due to its superior energy efficiency and lower environmental impact compared to legacy refrigerants. By bringing this facility online, the company aims to strengthen its presence in the cooling solutions market and improve product diversification.
Chemplast Sanmar is a prominent manufacturer with a diversified portfolio that includes specialty chemicals, suspension PVC, chloromethanes, hydrogen peroxide, and caustic soda. In the third quarter of the 2025-2026 fiscal year, the company reported a revenue of ₹840.52 Crores and a net loss of ₹119.20 Crores.
