Eicher Motors Limited has issued a formal intimation regarding a new capacity expansion initiative to comply with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The company aims to address its current near-full capacity utilization of approximately 14.6 lakh motorcycle units per year by establishing a new Greenfield facility. To facilitate this, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has approved a 215.7-acre land parcel at Tada, Andhra Pradesh. While the total investment for this project is estimated at up to Rs. 2,500 Crore, the specific plan for the capacity addition remains subject to finalization and approval by the Board of Directors, with funding intended through internal accruals.

This strategic expansion follows a period of robust operational activity for Eicher Motors and its subsidiary, Royal Enfield. In 2025, the company continued to strengthen its market position, with Royal Enfield delivering over one million motorcycles for the second consecutive year. The company also saw significant product developments in 2025, including the launch of new variants and colourways for models like the Hunter 350, as well as the unveiling of the Flying Flea brand and various apparel collections. Furthermore, Eicher Motors’ joint venture, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), has been actively expanding its electric vehicle footprint, including a collaboration with Amazon for the deployment of electric trucks to support sustainable logistics operations.

In terms of financial performance, Eicher Motors reported its Q3 FY 2025-26 results in February 2026.
