On 19th May 2026, ITC Hotels Limited announced the successful acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Zuri Hotels and Resorts Private Limited (ZHRPL). This strategic move, valued at an enterprise price of 205 crores on a cash-free, debt-free basis, integrates ZHRPL as a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening ITC Hotels’ presence in high-growth leisure destinations.

The Indian hospitality sector experienced significant momentum throughout 2025, with total hotel investments surging by 67% year-on-year to reach approximately $567 million across 28 transactions. This growth was driven by a combination of institutional capital, private equity, and strong demand for premium assets, particularly luxury resorts, in Tier II and III cities. Industry analysts note that such acquisitions reflect a maturing investment landscape where major players are actively consolidating their portfolios through strategic partnerships.

ITC Hotels Limited is a prominent Indian hospitality company, recognized as the third-largest hotel chain in the country, operating over 100 hotels. The company is celebrated for its commitment to “Green Hoteliering,” with owned properties achieving LEED Platinum certification. In addition to its luxury portfolio, the company manages a diverse range of brands, including WelcomHeritage and a globally recognized selection of culinary brands like Bukhara and Avartana. Recent updates indicate the company continues to focus on brand-led value creation and the expansion of its institutional strengths across high-profile leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segments.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, ITC Hotels reported a robust financial performance. Revenue from operations reached 1,253.70 crores, marking an 18.20% increase year-on-year. Net profit for the same period stood at 317.43 crores, reflecting a 23.11% growth year-on-year and a 34.03% increase quarter-on-quarter. The company maintains a strong institutional shareholder base, including significant participation from foreign institutional investors (FIIs) and domestic institutional investors (DIIs), with ITC Ltd remaining the primary promoter with a substantial stake.
