In a significant development for the power sector infrastructure, Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited has officially announced the receipt of a new order from the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO). This disclosure is made in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The newly awarded contract is valued at Rs. 228.26 Crore. Under the terms of this domestic agreement, the company is tasked with the manufacturing and supply of 6 transformers and 2 reactors, along with related work. This project is scheduled for completion and delivery on or before August 2028. The company has clarified that this order was secured in the normal course of business and does not constitute a related party transaction, confirming that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the entity awarding the contract.

Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited, established in 1994, has evolved into a leading manufacturer of a wide range of electrical equipment, including power, distribution, furnace, rectifier, and specialty transformers. The company is recognized for its engineering excellence and has expanded its capabilities to handle high-voltage requirements, including equipment up to 1200 kV. Throughout 2025, the company reported a record-breaking performance in terms of production volume, order inflows, and revenue. This success has been supported by strategic investments in manufacturing facilities and technological advancements, such as the adoption of green technology using natural ester fluids.

Regarding recent financial performance, the company reported a total income of ₹473.95 Crore for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2026 (Q2 FY26), marking a marginal year-over-year increase of 0.1% from ₹473.31 Crore in Q2 FY25. However, the net profit for the same period stood at ₹37.35 Crore, reflecting an 18.6% decline compared to the year-ago quarter. The company’s shareholding pattern as of March 2026 indicates significant promoter holding at 64.36%, with institutional presence from various foreign and domestic entities.
