Linde India Limited has officially announced the commencement of commercial production at its new 1,450 tonnes per day Air Separation Unit (ASU) located at the Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) works in Kalinganagar. This strategic facility is designed to support the operational requirements of JSL, providing a daily supply capacity of 1,450 tonnes of Oxygen, 1,800 tonnes of Nitrogen, and 64 tonnes of Argon.

The establishment of this ASU marks a significant milestone in Linde India’s ongoing infrastructure expansion, as referenced in the company’s previous disclosures from August 2022. Beyond serving the primary contractual obligations to Jindal Stainless, the unit is equipped with additional capacity specifically intended to address the growing demand for industrial gases within the regional merchant market.

Linde India Limited, a subsidiary of the global Linde group, is a leading player in the Indian industrial gases sector, providing essential gases and engineering solutions for various industries including steel, healthcare, and manufacturing. The company has been actively expanding its footprint through the setup of on-site plants and the strengthening of its distribution network throughout 2025. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to enhance supply chain resilience and capitalize on the infrastructure-led industrial growth witnessed across India during 2025.

In line with the company’s focus on long-term project execution, the commissioning of the Kalinganagar plant reinforces Linde’s ability to secure and fulfill large-scale industrial orders. The company continues to maintain a strong market position, leveraging its technical expertise to provide high-purity gases essential for heavy industries, including major players in the stainless steel sector who have been ramping up capacities throughout 2025.
