Axis Bank Limited has officially announced its audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026. In a meeting held on April 25, 2026, the Board of Directors approved the financial statements, which showed a steady operational performance and significant improvements in asset quality. Alongside the results, the Board recommended a final dividend of ₹1 per equity share of face value ₹2 each for the financial year 2025-26, representing a 50% payout, subject to shareholder approval. The bank also approved a substantial fund-raising plan of up to ₹20,000 crores through various instruments, including equity shares and depository receipts.

Axis Bank is a leading private sector bank in India, offering a comprehensive suite of financial products and services across retail, corporate, and wholesale banking segments. Headquartered in Mumbai, the bank operates a vast network of 5,879 domestic branches and 13,941 ATMs as of March 2025. In recent updates, the bank has focused on its “One Axis” strategy to drive synergies across its subsidiaries like Axis Capital, Axis Securities, and Axis Asset Management. A significant milestone in 2025 included a strategic partnership with J.P. Morgan to enhance real-time U.S. dollar payment capabilities for commercial clients in India. For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, Axis Bank reported a total income of ₹40,840.40 crores, representing a growth of 4.83% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The net profit for the quarter stood at ₹7,071.18 crores, reflecting a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.65%. Sequentially, the total income saw a marginal increase of 0.35% from the ₹40,698.41 crores reported in the third quarter of FY2026, while the net profit remained largely stable with a 0.38% increase. The bank’s asset quality improved remarkably, with the Gross NPA ratio declining to 1.23% from 1.40% in the previous quarter. Notable institutional and famous investors in the bank include the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), which holds a 9.19% stake, and the General Insurance Corporation of India.
